A day tour of Fife to historic places with Durie connections: including Rossend Castle, Burntisland - once a Durie stronghold, where Mary Queen of Scots visited; magnificent Falkland Palace and Gardens - linked to many of the Scottish Royals; lunch at dramatically situated sea-side Lower Largo on the Fife coast; and to Dunfermline for the Abbey Church and 11th C. Nave, the Durie window and memorial as well as the 16th C. Annunciation Stone and St. Margaret’s Shrine.
Dr Bruce Durie, Shennachie to the Chief, will be the guide to Durie links to Four Scottish Queens: St Margaret – Queen of Scotland, Mary of Guise, Mary Queen of Scots and James VI & I’s consort Anne of Denmark. The Chief will also be with us.
