The Chief, Andrew Durie, once again renewed his contacts with the Scotch Whisky Industry, which he left in 1999, when he and his wife Marguerite attended the Spring banquet of The Keepers of the Quaich at Blair Castle in April 2011.
In February 2010 the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo performed at Sydney Cricket Ground, only the third time the Tattoo has been abroad in its 60 years history. As I was finishing 10 years as a Director and Trustee of the Tattoo, I was asked to join the production team in Australia. It was a memorable trip.
In the News section we aim to provide recent information about Duries – wherever they may be – achievements and activities in which family members have been involved. Any Durie who has news to share is encouraged to send in their information and stories. Pictures are welcomed. All news submitted will be reviewed, may be used in a Newsletter &/or posted on the website and shared with the family genealogist.
